Resources
This is going to be where I list my resources for each language. As such it will always be updating. Now I just need to figure out how to pin this post so I don't lose it. Last updated 18/12/2018.

Japanese
- Lingodeer (android app) - This is a free Android app that I highly recommend. It is currently only available as an app. ♡♡♡♡♡♡♡
- WaniKani (android app and website) - Very useful to learn kanji. I have a lifetime subscription.
- Takoboto (android app and website) - Very useful free dictionary. Pretty much the only dictionary I use.
- Media - I like to watch many jdramas and animes online.
- Hikoichi Japanese reader (paperback) - This is a book with some short stories which shows the story in Japanese with vocabulary information, then purely in Japanese, then the translation in English. It also helpfully includes furigana above all the kanji.
- All About Particles (paperback) - This is a grammar book focused on teaching you all about the particles in the Japanese language, containing example sentences for each situation. Very useful reference book.
- Conversational Japanese (paperback) - This is one of the first books I got for Japanese but I don't use it anymore because of the fact that it uses purely romaji
- Japanese For Busy People 1 (3rd edition, kana version) (paperback) - This is the second Japanese book I bought and I specifically got the kana version. It comes with a CD and hiragana and katakana chart with stroke order at the back. I quite like this textbook, my only issue with it was that it never introduces you to kanji. There is also a workbook for it, but the textbook itself comes with a lot of exercises.
- Genki 1 second edition (paperback) - I bought this one after Japanese for busy people. This one is probably one of the most well-known textbooks for Japanese learners. It also includes kanji with furigana. I also own the workbook but the workbook doesn't come included with the answers unfortunately, I had to find these online when I wanted to check my work.
- Japanese in MangaLand 1 (paperback) - I also own the workbook to accompany it. I bought this after a disastrous attempt to try and read manga in Japanese. The aim of this book is to teach you Japanese by using examples from manga. It also includes furigana with kanji.
